Tutorials

  • Your first map Upload a file, wait for it to tile, style it, put it on a map and publish a link — the whole product in one pass.

How-to guides

  • Import data from a service Pull a layer straight from an ArcGIS REST or WFS endpoint, bulk-import a whole service, and keep it up to date.
  • Build a timeline Draw a dataset whose features appear and retire over time, or fork one from existing data, then scrub the map through the build-out.
  • Query and model data with SQL Run read-only SQL over your datasets, then save a query as a model that produces a new, mappable dataset.
  • Using the SQL Workbench Drive the workbench itself — the Preview, Run and Save loop, its keyboard shortcuts, tabs and drafts, and the result map.
  • Publish and share a map Mint a public link, embed the map in another page, and revoke access when you are done.
  • Connect Claude to mapbench Add mapbench as a connector in Claude, or as an MCP server in Claude Code, and check that it worked.
